PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
I went into mental health counseling because I've been close to many friends and family members who have struggled with purpose, anxiety, and depression. I've noticed that those who face these challenges are often some of the most compassionate and tender people I know, and I wanted to find a way to support them. Additionally, I believe the world is incredibly complex, and everyone can benefit from some help navigating it.
APPROACH TO THERAPY
I focus on attachment and relationship patterns, paying careful attention to the unique ways each client constructs meaning. Recently, I've found psychoanalytic approaches particularly useful due to concepts like the holding environment, transference, and the significance of upbringing and language in shaping personality and experience. I believe that curiosity and genuine compassion are the foundation of effective therapy, regardless of the modality used.
