PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

From a young age, I always enjoyed playing teacher with my cousins and friends, and I loved babysitting and caring for children. In middle school, I realized my passion for becoming a therapist when I observed that counselors and social workers were often unavailable when students needed support. This lack of accessibility inspired me to pursue a career in therapy. In high school, I began volunteering at a summer camp where I worked closely with 6th-8th graders, solidifying my desire to become a middle school therapist.

APPROACH TO THERAPY

I believe therapy can benefit everyone, but each person's upbringing and attitude towards therapy are unique. I recognize that individuals come from diverse backgrounds and have varying experiences of trauma, which they process differently. Therefore, it's crucial to be mindful and respectful of people's intersecting identities and backgrounds.
